Creative Blaq (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the Music Toys mobile application and this website. The app is built so its core audio work happens locally on your device.
Short version: no account is required; microphone captures and chosen audio are analyzed on device; the current app does not include advertising or user-tracking analytics.
1. Overview
This policy applies to the Music Toys mobile app and its marketing and support website. It does not govern Apple, Google, your device maker, your email provider, or any third-party site you choose to visit.
2. Data processed in the app
Microphone audio
When you deliberately start tempo detection, key detection, or the tuner using the microphone, the app processes the resulting audio signal to calculate musical information. Core analysis runs on your device. We do not upload microphone audio to a Creative Blaq-operated server.
Audio files you choose
When you select an audio file, the app accesses that file to decode and analyze its tempo or musical key. Depending on your operating system, a working copy may be placed in the app's temporary storage while the analysis runs. We do not upload the selected audio to our servers.
Local settings and history
The app stores certain information locally so it can remember your choices and show supported recent results. This can include metronome settings and tempo-analysis details such as a source label or file name, BPM, confidence, source type, and timestamp. This information is not tied to a Music Toys account because the app does not require one.
Diagnostics you choose to send
If you contact support, we receive the message and any screenshots, logs, audio, or other material you voluntarily include. Please do not send recordings or files you do not have permission to share.
3. Device permissions
The app requests access only when a feature needs it:
- Microphone: to record audio for tempo or key detection and to provide live tuner input.
- Files or media library: to let you select audio for analysis, subject to the controls your operating system provides.
The current musical tools do not intentionally use your camera or precise location. Operating systems and included platform components can show permission declarations differently across versions; denying an unrelated permission should not be required for the core musical tools.
4. Website data
This website is delivered as static pages. As currently built, it does not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or non-essential cookies. The contact form does not submit information to a website database; it creates a draft in your own email application.
A hosting or network provider may process standard request information—such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and time of access—to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose service failures. Their handling is governed by their own terms and policies.
5. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed only:
- to service providers that help deliver the website or support email, under their applicable terms;
- when you direct us to share it;
- when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and security; or
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the product, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards where required.
Apple and Google separately process information when you obtain or update the app through their stores.
6. Retention
App settings and supported history remain on your device until you remove them through available app or operating-system controls, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Temporary recordings and decoded working files can remain until the operating system clears temporary storage, the app removes them, or you remove the app.
Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can deny or revoke microphone and file access in device settings; features that depend on those permissions will stop working.
- You can remove locally stored app data using controls available in the app or your operating system, or by uninstalling the app.
- You can avoid sending support information and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold in support correspondence, subject to applicable law.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Security and international processing
Keeping core audio analysis on device reduces the amount of content sent to us, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Support messages and basic website delivery data may be processed in countries other than your own by the providers involved.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice when required.
